Example of one of the many plants found here. I tried to pick a very strange yet beautiful flower and I chose this one, scientific name as shown Stachys olympica - not a bad choice now that the Olympics tournament is soon to start in Greece.

Walking further to the left side, we came accross a path with several scarecrows standing near each other. looking closer revealed that they had tags with numbers, title-name of the scarecrow and who made it, hence it was clear tat there was going to be some 'Scarecrow' competition soon or later. The black scary scarecrow (left most) in looks really weird but I doubt if the crows are afraid of it being black like them

Another photo of more scarecrows in competition. There is one who looks like a manager with the shirt suit and tie!!! There where many other scarecrows who where quite funny or had funny names !

Photo of Malin taken in a large park full of trees, flowers, ponds and grass. It was a very quite and peaceful garden, and you easy find a spare bench or seat to sit upon and have a rest.

Photo of large water lilies (white or red coloured) in a pond at the park. We dont have these in Malta so I was pleased to look at them. I find it amazing how a plant can grow and floats just on water. Another note on the water lilies, in the bothanical garden in the tropical house they have some Victoria water lillies, which is the largest in the world (from Africa), measuring over a meter in diameter. *

A cute bird that we have plenty of them in Malta in our roofs vents. These in Uppsala are somehow more tame and come beside you to pick some pieces of food which falls on the ground.
