The main city square, very large (like a football ground) and lined with many beautiful buildings. No need to say, many people are present here all the time.

Other buildings at the town square, with side-by-side restaurants at ground level. Interesting brown balcony, the only one found in the whole building around the square. Maybe some important preaching were held from this balcony in the past.

Back into old town, and this is the city wall which surrounds the whole city for protection against enemies in the past. At certain distances the wall had these conical large towers. Some towers had distinct name such as this 15th century tower, which is called "Kiek-in-de-Kok", translated from Estonian, means "Peep into the Kitchen". Soldiers stationed here, on high ground, could watch for enemies outside the walls. But looking down upon Tallinn, the troops could also see everything going on in the town, peeping into houses windows.
