A new remote control
equivalent was bought, and the problem persisted. This demostrates that the
fault is in the receiving part in the TV |

The IR receiving module
was closed in a metalic can box. It was desoldered and opened. |
|
|
|
|
3 |
The IR receiving diode
(TFK BP W 41N) and
the only transistor (BC549b) present were replaced. This solved the problem.
Most probably it was the diode the faulty component not the transistor |
