PHOTO GALLERY:
Malin 2nd visit in Malta during February 2003

Page Description

This photo gallery has photos taken during the month of February 2003 when Malin came to live for a month together with me in Malta. Unfortunately, the weather was not much favourable this month, and so it was not adequate to take many photos. However we still had fun and visited different places around Malta and Gozo. Here is a collection of the most beautiful photos during this memorable month. The most special thing about this visit was, amongst other things(!), that Malin decided to live with me in Malta forever and she migrate here in June 2003 !!! Jag alsker dig!

Visitor hits from 20-Mar-03:

GHAJN TUFFIEHA

A wide-angle (panoramic) photo at a very beautiful bay called Ghajn Tuffieha. In Winter it is much more beautiful because of the green cliffs which contrasts well with the yellow sand and bluish/green sea.

Another photo of this wonderful bay, this from the other side. It was really nice to walk in the countryside around the bay and now we are heading towards a rocky piece of land projecting out in the sea, called 'Qarraba'

We decided to go around this piece of cliffy land (about 400 metres diameter) since it was quite interesting and adventurous. There was no way to climb the cliff so we could only go around. This was a very wonderful walk along huge boulders, caves, and rocks. We also stopped and find a way to go by the sea and 'wash' our feet for few minutes - the water was very cold! This photo is taken while we were climbing down the rocks to go by the sea.

Photo of a cave we found here, and we had to pass from to pursue our walk.

CHADWICK LAKES
I and Malin in Malta - 02 Mar 2003

Chadwick lakes are actually a large stream of water which start from Northwest of Malta (Fiddien) and flows down to Mosta (central Malta) and further down to the East of Malta where it ends up in the sea at Salini. Looking at it from the photo one can compare it to a small river, but such a view can be seen only for the 3 rainy months of Malta, as then it gradually dries out in Summer.

This was a park at a small place called Fiddien. We arrived here after we walked all the way along chadwick lakes. We had also to use our adventurous skills becasue the way was not very smooth!

MTAHLEB CLIFFS
I and Malin in Malta - 09 Feb 2003

Mtahleb is a very beautiful place in the countryside situated by the cliffs at the North West of Malta. There are many cliff sites in Malta, but what is special about Mtahleb is that there is a gorge (small opening in the cliffy rocks) from where you can descend down the cliffs by the sea. This picture shows the nice view once you get down beside the sea.

Another photo down the cliffs, but a bit much nicer becasue there is Malin instead of me in the photo :-)

Another Photo above the cliffs at Mtahleb, showing abit the panoramic view that one can see there. Another nice feature of this place is that you can watch the sunset directly facing you.
