This is another impressive site inside the cathedral. It is a marvellous and incredible stained glass window. Maybe the secret of its beauty is the perfect symmetry it exhibits.

Another state of art stained glass window. This is so fine that it literally seems as if it was painted directly on the glass. The image depicts saint Brigitta who was a poor nun that managed to raise up for the first time in Sweden a monastery.

This is a marble statue of the Queen married to King Gustav Vasa. I think she is buried here (hence this is her tomb) becasue the tombs of 2 Kings buried here also have a similar self-portrait statues resting in peace. Opposite to this tomb in the same chamber there is the tomb of King Gustav (see photo below)

Human size marble statue of King Gustav which I believe that under it lies his tomb. King Gustav Vasa is buried in the chuch in the tomb on the pictures. As a side note, one prince is also buried in the church. His tomb is in the same area as the relic of Birgitta the holy. *

In another chamber there was this marvellous marble statue of both The King (Gustav) and his wife resting in peace near each ther. As it can be seen the statue have also golden crowns, orbs, and other royal stuff

In another chamber there was 2 large and beautiful painting of which one is this here. if this is an old painting, drawn during the times of the King Gustav, then I am amazed by the good quality of the painting. The colours and detail are perfect as new. The king declares the opening of the first parliamental meeting in Sweden. This was held in Arboga on June 5th, 1502 (Arboga almost halfway between Stockholm and Oslo.) *

I do not know how to explain this strange thing. It was something like the Christmas crib but several biblical episodes are represented in different boxes. It was another beautiful artistic masterpiece which I belive is quite old too. yet in perfect conditions.

In contrast some modern art now - wooden statues of Jesus surrounded by several children listening to his preaching. It's the first time I seen some 'modern art' in a cathedral, usually stuffed only with very old masterpieces of art

This is another baroque masterpiece, that is the pulpit. I do not know how at that time, with limited tools and no machines, how they could create such an finely decorated pulpit made of several wood, silver and gold (and I do not know if that blue material is marble!).
