As deck B was compared
with deck A (which worked fine), no faulty mechanism was noted. |

The mechanism was
serviced with the Contact Cleaner spray, and the pinch roller was cleaned up
with 100% isopropyl alcohol. It was evident that the pinch roller was heavily
dirty. |

After few minutes, the
equipment was tested and playback resumed correctly, and so did the
recording. |
