Full repair description and observations |
1 |
On observing the front
panel microswitches, 2 of them were rusty. On checking their functionality
with the continuity meter, it was fiund that they lost contact and were open
on both On/Off States. |
2 |
3 of the 5 microswitches
were replaced, the other 2 seems in perfect order. Now the Tv switched on
from standby on pressing the Prog + button. (the other 4 buttons are not
designed tp turn on the TV from stand) |
3 |
The front panel push
buttons were bought from RTV, Marsa |
4 |
They were not exactly
compatible with the current model, but by doing alteration they were made to
fit inside and function perfectly. |
5 |
The Prog+ button was
painted green, and function labels were drawn and printed on the computer and
afixed under the buttons - for aesthetic purposes. |
