Assuming that the pin cushion / east west correction IC (TDA 8145) was faulty, I replaced it and turned the Tv on. There was no pin cushion distortion and the Tv was tested for about 4 hours or so.

I gave the TV to the Client, but the day after he quarrel that there was again the same problem. I took the TV back to home and analysed the problem. The problem sometimes appeared and sometimes not. When the board was tampered slightly, the fault did come and go. So it was obvious that it was a dry joint somewhere in the pin-cushion circuitry.

I resoldered as many points as possible and turned the TV on. The problem was not formed, and even when tampering slightly on the circuits board / pots.

The Tv was let to operate for approx 3 days, and the fault was never formed again.
