When started, the cold sypmtoms

As expected there was some
fault in the audio head / control head block. I cleaned this with
isopropyl alcohol and to my luck, the sound came, and picture stopped
jumping. |

|

I cleaned all the tape track
parts, such as rolelr guides, head, pinch roller, shaft etc. Additinally I
setted up the control/audio head block alignmnet so that optimal sound is
heard. |

Since the user did not wanted
to spend much money for the repair, I decided that the power supply cold
faults should be tackled in a separate fault at later stage when they get
more serious. At present, when VCR is warm, these faults did not show up so
there was no need to tackle this fault now. |
