Full repair description and observations |
1 |
The TV was incredibly full of dustand so a
good cleanup was done |
2 |
On inspecting the powersupply, it was noted
a nice dry joint at the mains transformer. |
3 |
This dry joint was resoldered, and
resoldered many points in the power supply. This cured the dead-tv symptom
completely. |
4 |
I noted that the picture was not perfect
shape (shifted up) and so I analysed the vertical deflection board. |
5 |
On of the variable resistors presets was broken, and another one broke in my hand. The
pointer cap broke and fell off from the preset,
hence they were like adjusted to high resistance. Attemps of solering the
metal pointer failed so I had to buy new ones. This solved the picture
shaping problem, by making the right preset adjustments. |
