Typical scene of the building of the old city of Dresden. The most striking fact about Dresden is in fact the building in the old part. This city was a jewel of architecture and building, but it was all destroyed by UK air forces after Hitler lost the Second World War II - (so it was sort of a revenge from UK). However the people stored all possible ruins and building blocks and after many years they started to reconstruct back the buildings as it was in its original state from the ruins. That is why the building look black, it still have a coat of 'carbon' when it was lying in fire after being bombarded in middle 1940s. It is quite unbelievable this thing but it is the truth

This is a large wall with a beautiful artwork drawn on it. The artwork represents the history of the city in the middle ages. From this drawing, one could understand the different stages, rulers, and wars that took place over the city of Dresden. So at one end of the drawing is the begining of the history of Dresden, while at the other is the end of the history at the time this wall-drawing was finished

Here a whole large church was rebuilt up. However all the art, sculptures and paintings inside were completely lost.

I think this was the furthest I and Etienne went in Dresden from out tour meeting place. It is a very large park full with trees, and birds. Such parks are nearly non-existent in Malta.
