Here is now Wien (Vienna) which was part of our holiday package. Vienna looks more high classed, sophisticated, rich looking people. and a very expensive palce. The buildings and places are also large, well kept, and looks new, even if actually they were built long time ago.

This is an impressive wall with a huge doorway to entering in the center of old Vienna. This part is the inside section of the wall. Some members of our tour can also be seen around to the left of the photo.

Close Up of highly decorated doorway leading to a museum which bears the name "KunstHistorisches Museum". We did not have time to visit any museum in our 5 hour stay at Vienna, but the name suggests it is a museum about the history of Vienna. Like many capital cities, I believe that Vienna, being situated in the heart of Europe, has a very interesting history.

One of the large and beautiful fountains found near the doorway at the inside of the main wall to enter this part of the village. These fountains can be barely seen in one of the previous photos (photo : Prague-42)

Another beautiful art of architecture at Vienna. This looks to be a church, but I forgot to whom saint is dedicated.

Now here we are in the heart of Vienna, and this is one of the most famous cathedral in whole Austria. This is a masterpiece and jewel of baroque architecture - the Cathedral of Saint Stephen. It is incredibly decorated, large and just a wonder!!! For example it is so large that i Could not make it fit in the photo (there was no more space to walk back). Unfortunately we did not have enough time to enter inside the cathedral ; I am sure that is also extremely beautiful, decorated and of rich artistic value. So I suggest everyone to save some of your time and visit this cathedral both from outside and sepecially inside.

Here is now a more small and simple church, or better to say, a chapel. The interesting part of this chapel was the coat of arms of the Knights of Malta (that red+white 8 pointed cross). This church had some link with the Austrian division of the Knights of St.John who ruled Malt for more than 2 centuries. They Knights came from 8 different countries in Europe, of which Austria was one of them.

A photo of the many statues found in Vienna. This strange statue is dedicated to three bodies in one God (trinity) and was sign of prayer long time ago for those who died by plague

Another large statue, this time of Queen Elizabeth who was so famous for Austria. I don't know any historical facts about her unfortunately.
