My visit in Sweden and Finland (2002)
These are more photos taken from Sweden. We visited a town called Sigtuna, which is a very old town previously the capital city of Sweden. On Thursday we went to another place, near Marsta (I forget the name!) which was very beautiful too. I really love places full of fresh air, trees and grass, peaceful and not overcrowded with people and traffic. These two places were such good examples.

Sigtuna is a very old town, and previously was the capital city of Sweden before the town of Stockholm was built. It is b believed that the town was founded around 980AD. Proof of its age is this very old ruins of a church. Around it there is a graveyard. Although this town is touristic, it is quite peaceful. The old town is small, but there are quite a lot of things to see, museums, shops, restaurants, parks, etc.

This was a nice way along the lake side. You can see new colourful cottages and houses, and plenty of grass everywhere.

This was another beautiful place, a couple of kilo metres away from Malin's apartment in a small town called Marsta. This was a small terrace at the bank of the lake. You can climb down the stairs and immerse your feet in the lake. Everywhere was surrounded by trees, plants, grass, birds, and peaceful nature. The sun was lovely too here.

Another picture full of nature. This time I am on a bridge over a small river full of water lilies. We walked from this bridge to arrive to a nearby beach.

This was very beautiful beach by the lake. The weather was perfect, and many people where there even if it was Thursday. The beach is sandy but you can also note grass. On the other side of the beach there are large trees and a small forest. hence you can imagine how much beautiful this place is. I think that the water was quite cold.
